Celtics looking to the Playoffs

The Boston Celtics are currently sitting in the 4th playoff seed and if all holds, would open the 2016 NBA Playoffs against the 5th seed Miami Heat in the first round.  The Celtics hold the season series at 2-0 and have five games remaining with the season finale against the Heat.

Tonight the Celtics, off since their win against the Lakers on Sunday, will take on the New Orleans Hornets and will look to lock up home court with a win over the non-playoff bound Hornets.  Friday night, the Celtics will take on the Milwaukee Bucks with the same mindset.

Two big games coming up for Celtics

The Boston Celtics are hoping to take their win against the Wizards and build on it as they face the Milwaukee Bucks tonight.  The Bucks have reeled off four wins in a row and are looking to keep that streak going.

The Celtics are leading the NBA in forcing turnovers with 20+ a game and look to continue that against the Bucks with their full cast of characters after Marcus Smart sat out the last two games and Jae Crowder suffered a knee bruise against the Nets.

“We prefer to have our whole team available,” coach Brad Stevens said. “At the same time, we’ve got good depth in those spots and guys that are very reliable.”

Celtics sneak into playoffs with 95-93 win

The Boston Celtics have made it back into the NBA playoffs after a year absence and are currently slotted to play the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.  The win, though, nearly did not happen.

With the clock running down, Jae Crowder hit a game-winning three pointer to send Boston to the playoffs.  Beating the Cavaliers will be a tall task for any squad in the East, but especially so for the Celtics after the year they had.

“Hey, to have a chance to compete against the very best in the league is a great opportunity,” Boston coach Brad Stevens said. “It’s a big mountain, but it is a great opportunity.”

There is one more game on the schedule for the Celtics as they travel to Milwaukee for a match up with the Bucks tonight.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get yours today!
