Celtics open 2013/14 season with little fanfare

The 2013/ Media Day passed with little noise or new news.  With head Coach Doc Rivers, Big Ticket Kevin Garnett and now Paul Pierce gone, there was little the now Rajon Rondo led team could espouse to be happy about.

New Celtic Gerald Wallace was looking forward to an “open window” of championship runs with the New Jersey Nets when a draft day trade sent him south.

“Being traded is a process nobody likes to go through,”  Wallace said.”This trade kind of caught me off guard. You kind of sit back and look at yourself and wonder what happened.  There’s always a period where it’s tough, especially coming from a playoff team where we were completing for a championship, and then coming here and starting the process all over again.”

The Celtics open the preseason against the Toronto Raptors October 7th.  Tickets for that game and the new season are available so be sure and get yours and cheer on your Boston Celtics!
