In a battle of Eastern powers, the 8-6 Boston Celtics meet the 9-4 Brooklyn Nets in Boston. The Celtics lost to the Nets 102-97 on November 15th and look to even the series. Celtics coach Doc Rivers has been stressing in practice the need to get the ball down low to KG.
“Especially if we think he has an advantage,” Doc said after yesterday’s workout. “I don’t think our eyes are trained yet to look down there. I think you have to train the players’ eyes to look in the post off of pick-and-rolls and off other actions. I think we’re starting to do that. I still think we don’t do it enough. We’re a ways away.
The Nets are beginning to gel as a team with Brook Lopez scoring at least 20 points in seven of his last nine games.
“It shows how much we’ve improved and I think we’re going to keep getting better each and every game,” Lopez said recently.
The Celtics take on the Portland Trailblazers on Friday the 30th then hit the road against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Be sure to get out and support your Celtics as they attempt to get back into the playoffs.
