The Boston Celtics were bailed out in game 5 against the Philadelphia 76ers as Brandon Bass matched a career high 27 points helping to bully the Sixers into a 101-85 loss. The Sixers fell into disarray midway through the 3rd quarter with the team turning the ball over five times in six possessions which led to a 10-0 Celtics run.
“You can’t play like that, you can’t play one-handed against this team. You can’t make careless, one-handed passes against this team. They’re too good. We did not meet the tenacity that they played with from the middle of the third quarter on,” Sixers Coach Doug Collins said.
Sixers leading scorer Lou Williams was harassed all evening as the Celtics swarmed to him every time he touched the ball. Williams finished the game with seven points on
