Celtics fall to lowly Bobcats

Team’s 7-game winning streak halted by worst team in the NBA

The last time the worst team in the NBA took out a team on a 7-game winning streak was on December 17, 1964 when the NY Knicks took out the Boston Celtics who were riding a 7-game winning streak.  Adding insult to injury, the team may have lost backup guard Leandro Barbosa to a left knee injury.  Barbosa is expected to have an MRI today.

“It doesn’t look great but we’ll see,” head coach Doc Rivers said.

Barbosa was coming into his own since taking over for the injured Rajon Rondo and was averaging 9 PPG.

The Celtics next face the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.
