Celtics out duel Heat

The Boston Celtics had been on a road losing streak until they marched into Miami’s American Airlines Arena intent on stopping it and stop it they did.  Led by Avery Bradly’s 25 points and Jared Sullinger’s 17, all of the Celtics starting five ended up in double figures.

“They played their game from the start,”  Heat Guard Dwayne Wade said. “They were the desperate team tonight.”

Wade led the Heat with 30 points and had Bradley on him for most of the game and was helped down the stretch when Wade started to get hot.

“On the offensive end, we necessarily didn’t have to make shots at the end of the game, it’s just always going to come down to getting stops on D-Wade, trying to slow him down, because he was making a lot of shots in a row,” Bradley said. “We need to slow him down and we did a great job as a team and that’s what got us the win, to be honest.”

The Celtics hit the road, travelling to Mexico City for a game against the Sacramento Kings as part of the NBA’s Global Games 2015.  This is the third scheduled game played in Mexico and the 22nd overall game to be played in that country.

“Basketball is more popular than ever,” Commissioner Adam Silver said.  “Global Games Mexico 2015 is part of our ongoing dedication to growing the game around the world. We are thrilled to bring the authentic NBA experience to our fans in Mexico once again, and to have another extraordinary opportunity for our teams and players to experience the country’s warm hospitality and traditions.”

The Celtics will be back home next Wednesday for a match up against the Chicago Bulls.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get yours today and help cheer on your Boston Celtics!
