Celtics drop Season Opener in Miami

Ex-Celtic drops 19 points against former team

After making the visiting Boston Celtics endure a Ring Ceremony, the Miami Heat went out and dropped them in their home opener 120-107.  Dwayne Wade scored 29 points and LeBron James added 26 points/10 boards.

“It was good to cap this night off with a win,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “It was an emotional time for all of us in our organization.”

There were other fireworks during the game when Rajon Rondo flagrantly fouled Wade as he drove through the lane for a bucket.

“It was a punk play by him,” Wade said. “The league will take care of it. He clotheslined me, with two hands.”
