For the fifth time in franchise history, the Boston Celtics have lost their 50th game of the season last night against the Chicago Bulls in the TD Garden. While the Celtics kept the game close, they still fell to playoff bound Chicago107-102. Head Coach Brad Stevens was asked after the game if his team could take anything positive away from the loss.
“None,” coach Stevens replied. “Zero. I just talked about it in the locker room, we can sugar-coat it, we can say, ‘It’s nice to be close,’ — and we have all year — and at the end of the day, it is what it is from a record standpoint,” Stevens said.
With nine games remaining on the Celtics schedule, the team can only hope to get a high draft selection in the 2014 NBA Draft.
