Miami Heat on the Horizon
The Boston Celtics ended their one game home stand with a 10-point thrashing of the Memphis Grizzlies, the second time within a week. Avery Bradley led the Celtics with 23 points while Isiah Thomas Jr added 21 and seven assists.
The Grizzlies made it interesting closing to within four points in the last minute and a half but the Celtics buckled down at the line popping six straight free throws in the final minute of the game.
‘They still scored way too many points to my liking, but I liked the fact that we came back and competed,” Memphis coach David Fizdale said. ”We didn’t get the stops necessary like we usually do. But we gave ourselves a chance to win on the road and that’s all you can ask for.”
The Celtics move on to face the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow before returning home to face the Miami Heat.
